Redstone is used mainly as a wiring system, I don't see how compressed powder would hold up in physical abuse (like mining or attacking) or how effective it would be. It would also be very hard to implement dynamic lighting that follows the player that wouldn't require a massive use of resources. :(

    How about this:

When you attack a block with a redstone tool, that block is now powered.

If you use this tool, it would be nice to have electricity around you

Its not my favorite idea but it would be cool if you could have an item so when you hit redstone with it it emits a signal.

Activated redstone tools should mine faster and deal more damage than non powerd redstone tools. To activate the tools just put it in a crafting bench with a redstone block/torch

I'd like to also add Redstone Weapons to this

As much as I'd love it to glow constantly - mojang have dismissed torches in player hands for its impact on lag (although series x/ ps5 is now a thing so consoles are way more powerful now so imo they should reconsider)

I think the best way would be to make it like the redstone ore, when you hit with it (both mining or attacking), it activates light for a few seconds, then switches off

It should be as enchantable as every other tool/weapon rather than being some seperate special self powered thing

Yeah but you need iron to mine redstone.
