(Available Content) Not all Mash-ups are created Equal!

So, I recently did the one thing I NEVER thought I'd do. Buy Minecraft. That serious joke aside, I did it so that my better half and I had something to do together, that she'd enjoy. We both got the Skyrim and Fallout Mash-Up packs, because we love both of those universes dearly, and wanted to bring them into the creative world of Minecraft. We started first with the Skyrim Mash-Up world and instantly fell in love with how gorgeous the resource textures are, including both forms of Diorite. We found Riverwood, White Run, and some nameless little village and they are well done, but that aside from a sad excuse for Bleakfalls Barrow, found nothing else from the world of Skyrim. Next we loaded in the Fallout Mash-Up world map, and were blown away by not one but two air craft hovering in the sky, Megaton City, Ten Penny Tower, The Capital Wasteland of Downtown Washington D.C., Diamond City, a Red Rocket Station, Sanctuary Hills, and a few other well done Fallout locations, covering a rather large portion of the map, before you start finding desolate(void of fallout related stuff) biomes. I am highly disapointed in how unfinished the Skyrim Mash-Up feels in comparison to the Fallout Mash-Up world.

Until some work is done on it to bring it up to par with the other Mash-Ups done by Minecraft, I would advise staying away from it, unless all you want are the textures.

    I agree with you very much. As a strong Skyrim fan, I love the aesthetic of the Skyrim mashup and I liked the beginnings of a Skyrim world but it certainly needs fleshing out. Some things I was disappointed with what seemed like some weird texture choices, for example spiders as mudcrabs rather than frostbite spiders, pillagers as dawnguard rather than bandits, sticks as staffs, iron golems as frost trolls (I think they should have been dwarves centurions) and other such things. Also I found that making the Iron bars Look dwarven makes them less universal in their use. I would have also preferred more dwarven looking blocks as the dwarven sandstone blocks just didn’t seem to look dwarven enough to really use. I would be very eager for an update on this mashup to fix some of these problems, make a more complete Skyrim world and perhaps bring it up to the quality of other packs like the fallout and Star Wars packs. I really liked the idea for this pack. It is the main pack I use. It just should be more complete and comprehensive.

    I think they wanted to just build whiterun hold, and build the entire city, whereas the fallout map was a squished down version of fallout 2, 3, and 4.
    This was all built on the old version, to, so they only had one map space to build on.

    If the developers continue working on these textures to update them, in my case I use Fallout textures a lot, they should try to expand these maps a little more and add more characters.and even with these new Mod functions you can also make a Mod of these, as they did with Star Wars Mash up
