They’ve added in Iron Golems since the first updates of Minecraft and there was the Snow Golem. Two very special mobs that everyone wants but why not add in another utility mob. One that’s fast with covering ground and with attacks but it doesn’t attack like an Iron Golem. It could be the mob or should I say the golem in between the Snow and Iron Golem. Again this is an option that Mojang can use to add it to the game along with the new combat system that they’re making for the next update, maybe. I would like to introduce the Observer Golem:
Design: I don't know what the body will look like but I do know is that it will have the face of the Observer Block for the head. The arms, legs, and body design I'm not so sure.
OBSERVER GOLEM STATS:
Health Points: 40 hearts
Attack Strength: 5 to 8 hearts (melee)
Speed: Fast but not ridiculously fast
Abilities:
Laser Eyes: Too much if so then please tell me. The Golem also has another attack that’s long range and it must lock on the target completely when using this attack. If the Observer Golem gets hit while using this attack it will start to attack the player/mob that attacked it while it was trying to use this move. You will know when the Laser Eyes are in effect because its eyes will glow bright red. It takes 2 seconds to charge the beam of light at the target and it does 2 hearts. You’ll also know what target it’s attacking with this move because the laser will be pointed to the enemy and then it will blast its enemy to particles. So if you’re the enemy of this creature and its laser is on you, you have 2 seconds to get out of range kinda like a Guardian. It does have a limit of how far it can shoot this attack and the max range it can get is 5 blocks.
Observing: The Observer Golem is very intelligent and it can see farther than other mob in the game because it’s meant to observe its surroundings. It can notice a mob up to 170 blocks away(hopefully that’s farther than any of mob can spot a player). Once it spots a target it will immediately start running towards it and will attack and then it will go back to where it came.
Attacking Speed: The Observer Golem can attack faster than any other mob in the game but only in melee combat though, otherwise it would be overpowered.
How to Summon an Observer Golem:
All you need is a 2 block tall iron pillar and an Observer Block on top. This summoning formation could change. Except the Observer block on top. That stays!
