Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Shield upgrade

Be able to use different materials to craft a shield (i.e. gold, diamond, stone) which will provide different durability to it. Also, change the color of the shield depending upon the type of wood used.

    wooden shield: crafted with 7 wood. block 50% damage

    iron shield: crafted with 5 iron and 2 wood, block 70% damage

    gold shield: crafted with 5 iron and 2 gold, block 75% damage, won't aggro piglins

    diamond shield: crafted with 5 iron and 2 diamond, block 90% damage

    netherite shield: crafted with a diamond shield and a netherite ingot, block 95% damage, won't burn in fire/lava, knock player/mob when near you

    enchantment:

    mending, unbreaking

    blocking protection, have 4 levelsm, blocking damage =2% for each.

    axe block: reduce the cooldown time of shield, now shield breaking is based on a value. -5 value per level, have 3 levels

    bouncing: a enchantment that can bounce off projectiles, normal shield now just block it, not bounce it back.

    you can only choose between axe block and bouncing
