Map blocks

It is nowadays really anoying to have tons upon tons of item frames with maps in your base because it can create tons of lag which is really anoying. I usually use them for custom textures and use them a lot. So mym idea is really simple, it is the following:

You should be able to craft "Map Blocks". for example you surround a glowstone block with the same map in a crafting table and then you get the image of the map on the glowstone instead of the glowstone texture. this would decrease lag and make it easier to build with maps
