Hey! I love what is happening with the game so far, and I'm so proud of the game developers and their ideas! But I do have a pretty big suggestion that would kind of change the foundation of the game kinda?
I was thinking that, hey, Minecraft is kind of set in the beginning of time, where everything is new and exciting right? But history has generally moved away from that, and started to develop more. Like new technology, food, and exploring new lands (though this was already a Minecraft thing).
My idea is that for when you first start the game, there are a bunch of achievements you have to complete. Like basic stuff, cooking and building and whatnot. (Maybe give more food options right off the back? Like rice and mushrooms and stuff like that!). But after that, you get sent to a new page of achievements you have to complete. Each time you complete a page of achievements, you're able to craft more things, are able to explore newer biomes and such. (It would be really cool if we could possibly get huge ships for a pirate type era).
And it would be really cool if when you unlock like 10 pages of achievements, you enter an Industrial Revolution. So now you can build trains, machines to do things for you, and a lot more! Such as guns, carriages driven by horses (maybe a special one for underwater driven by dolphins???), and watermills to start the beginning of advanced electricity. It could even escalate to light bulbs and planes!
I think this would be great for the game because it would make people want to get achievements, and would spark new creativity in the builds and places you get to see and explore! And you can create more food too, which I think a lot of people would enjoy. And it could make a functional, modern city a reality in Minecraft!
