Greetings,
I've been playing update after update, trying to check as many things as I can about Minecraft in their update (except when there were secret updates...there was simply no time!), forgotten structures (the ones I could see personally), etc.
And I always thought "Good work, they reflect their effort in their job, their passion into the game, and now I can expect to have this new structure when I play".
All nice and clean...but then the time comes...what are these structures for?
Let's give the jungle ruins for example:
Within the deepest part of the jungle, there was once secrets and richness that no man could ever dare to gather all (a couple of diamonds, few arrows, many bones and gold, perhaps), enter if you dare and are brave enough to face the millenial traps that awaits for activating and keep bountyhunters away...and if you are smart enough you will be able to decode the cipher to unlock the ultimate prize...so you will be legend...
Unless, of course, you are a average player and use your pickaxe (or even the hand...?) to break the structure and take the chests and get out of that place with zero damage.
I love your ideas, I really appreciate your efforts... but I really can't stand to see how the structures are simply broken without a single grasp of "adventure", every village is destroyed and the villagers just "Hnggh!" at you, every structure is basically equal to the others so, in the jungle ruins example you will always know where the traps are... and let's not talk about the pyramids...
I really think would be a good idea to create a "core block" so every structue can't be broken unless you "passed all the dangers" or, at least, some changes of the structures where the traps are placed.
Example:
- Jungle ruins version 1: traps placed in positions A and B
- Jungle ruins version 2: traps placed in positions C and B
- Jungle ruins version 3: traps placed in positions A and C
So when the world generates, it will be more than 1 version of structures and players can enjoy the structures you created with their real purpose.
P.S. I was going to suggest this idea like a command suggestion, but I was not quite sure where this would fit...so I would understand if this is changed.
Thanks for your patience and your time.
