Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

obsidian stairs, slabs, walls, and polished variants.

Obsidian is a stone. I believe it was announced that all stone blocks would be receiving slab and stair variants. From what I've seen from the snapshots this has been the case, and its wonderful.

I love whats been done with the stone variants, and I'd love to see that to be extended to ALL the stone variants.

who wouldn't want to build an obsidian house with a polished obsidian floor, with all the variants to make it look like more then a big obsidian chunk?

Gaining the material would be a work.Fair enough. However the option to have it and make obsidian a worth while decoration block is something I think should be explored at least.

    Honestly it simply makes sense. I cant think of a good reason for obsidian to not get these variants.Polished walls would be nice, but I think that would deserve its own pole if nobody has yet.

    Obsidian is my favorite block and it has been in the game for a long time. After the addition of the stonecutter there is no reason for there not to be a slab and stair and polished varient

    I deeply agree, we could definetly use some decorative obsidian. I also had in mind a chiseled obsidian block, on the lines of sandstone blocks but end themed (I mean, red sandstone points to a boss, the Wither, so obsidian should point to the other boss, the End Dragon).

    If obsidian masonry is made (polished, stair, slab, wall blocks), can weeping obsidian also have masonry blocks?

    Also requesting pillar and chiseled obsidian/crying obsidian (crying obsidian pillars could be really pretty). You could also make the crying obsidian blocks look ruined and damaged, so you could have detailed obsidian ruins.

    This idea makes sense, especially because Obsidian looks quite unlike how it looks in real life and Polished Obsidian could look more like how one would think the obsidian stone would look like.

    I see It's been literally years since this thread was started and we still do NOT have Obsidian stairs, slabs, etc. I find this ridiculous given they've added Deep slate, etc to the game. Obsidian is difficult to work with so not everyone will use this but I know I'm not the only player asking for this option. Heck, I wouldn't even object if you had to use the Stone Cutter to make these Obsidian variants. C'mon Mojang! :)

    I agree with others regarding the use of Obsidian stairs, slabs and walls. Maybe make us use the Stone Cutter or perhaps a special Diamond Stone Cutter? C'mon Mojang - we've been pleading for years about this one.

    Also there should be obsidian bricks!
