Too Easy

This was not exactly my idea, but seems similar.

    Here's the thing.

    Minecraft is a one-night game.

Not because you can play it or finish it in that amount of time, no, but because the only dangerous moment is that first night where you don't have enough resources to survive and end up on the top of a tree, destroying any passage to your "shelter" and hoping there are no skeletons near.

After 2 days of (punching trees) working you will die only if you want to.

I'm not against the progress the group of Mojang did, I appreciate their effort really much, problem is they made SO many ways to obtain SO many things that made life TOO EASY.

Once you start (without any helping chest) you need to find a bunch of trees (they are really rare, so this takes a few hours) and with only 1 average tree of 4 logs you have 16 pieces of wood, let's say we take just 3 logs.

With this you could actually build a workbench, wooden pickaxe, get some cobblestone and get furnance, better tools (stone) and get dirt (the easiest) or more wood to build a box house near a place with 1 single block of water.

After that, you only need to use your furnance with your log to get charcoal, with that charcoal you can "smelt" 8 more pieces of wood into more charcoal.

There, you have now torches for your place and surroundings, a shelter, and enough materials to be safe inside.

Starving? No problem, with your tools get a hoe and punch out some seeds, they will grow in relatively quick time and there; food, tools, house, done.

In case of not being so good at rushing (or not willing to), you will be in problems the first night...dig a hole and you are safe.

After the next morning you will only die if you are not prepared enough or if you take too much risks...but the chance is really low if you have at least a slight idea of what you're doing.

I really don't like this part of Minecraft, I love this game and I've been playing since I discovered with friends years ago, we all played through the web, in a tiny window: Minecraft Classic (oh...the memories), and I've been playing since then.

I can't help to think there could be more, it could be better than how it is now; snapshot after snapshot things are getting way easier... and I really don't see it as a good survival mode anymore.

Giving you an example: I still remember when creepers used to "punch" you with their heads to death, and if you killed them, they exploded...that was way harder than now (as I recall, we couldn't even sprint back then).

So, I partially agree with Noah Meyer...Minecraft is too easy... I wouldn't go that far as "we need a harder mode"...I would just say "we need a real survival".

I plan to make my own suggestion about difficulty sometime soon.  Instead of peaceful, easy, normal, and hard, it will be peaceful, casual, difficult, hardcore, and starve.

I completely agree. With every update, Minecraft gets easier. They should add more mobs / a harder gamemode .

Also the villages they are WAY to easy to find I remember a few years back I was so excited finding a village as they were incredibly hard to find now you can find them in under like 10 minutes? 5? sure the villages look amazing compared to what they use to but they are way to easy to find and give you lots of loot that originally would take you a long time to obtain and it just takes a bit of fun out of the game

Mobs don't have enough.. or any.. variation in different ways required to kill them -- certainly not for a game headed to a decade old. Everything is a one step task. Nothing is skill oriented, but instead experience oriented. You're losing your older audience because of these concerns.
