Portals to connect all minecraft worlds

I think it would be really cool if we could create portals that can link us to any world that we previously created or possibly a new world or friends world etc. With this feature old worlds wont be fully outdated since u can connect it to a newer world bringing in new items mobs and whatever else your old world does not have.

    I just had this same idea. I have been playing the same world since beta. And my problem with that is when there is an update that has added new whatever over the years I have to adventure out so far from my original home to find the new stuff that was added. If there were portals that could be link to other worlds when a big update comes out I could start a new world portal find what is needed then return to my world with it. Best idea ever!

    Yes I agree with drewacula76, I have 64 worlds on Pocket Edition, 11 on Nintendo Switch, and 50 on Java Edition, 1 on XBOX, and 3 on PS4. But, I only use one world. Where all my friends built really cool houses and we progressed so much. And I adventured out so much that when a new update comes, I’m going to have travel long distances to find something new. (Especially with this nether update coming soon). So I really do need to connect my worlds that I haven’t adventured far on. So I have an idea. You make a nether portal, and just like the Minecraft April Fools Snapshot, you right into a book and throw it into the nether portal, but for it to work you must throw in a book with the name of your world on the book and boom!!!!!! I see my other world. But I don’t think Mojang might want this in there game...

    This is a great idea! My son has this idea this morning and I went to submit it and found this. Think about how cool it would be to connect your favorite worlds. All those places where you painstakingly created things could all be connected! I wholeheartedly agree with this idea. I am a software engineer and though I understand this could be technically difficult it doesn't mean that it isn't worth it.
