"Custom" Hardcore Mode

Hardcore is a great game mode, but some people find hardcore too hard and wish they could meet in the middle where it's easier, but still challenging. Some "hardcore" professionals may want a little less challenge, as they don't want to stress about it.

I think with a Hardcore mode, you should be able to set a number of lives all players have on the world. When selecting Hardcore mode, a "text box" should appear, which by default has the number 1 in it. Amount of lives can be customized by entering numbers in or deleting numbers. Text above text box should say "Lives".

To get advanced, hardcore lives would be stored as an NBT applied to each player.

    you can select lives but there an easy medium hard now in the "hardcore section"

    I whis too this modality. It's okay to have 3 total lives. At the end, the world ends. And I was generous. When I was playing java, I always put on this mode (one life). I don't understand why he's not here. The game experience totally changes, it's all more exciting, alive, adventure, dangerous, with a purpose.

    There should be Custom Game Modes where you can choose Game Rules and features from the Table of Game Modes (see "Gameplay" on the Official Minecraft Wiki). You can name them and they would appear alongside the other Game Modes
