Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Enchant boats

Since the new swimming mechanism was introduced with the aquarius update, using a boat does barely make sense. Player with depth strider boots is faster then player on a boat. In order to make boats useful again, it should be possible to increase their speed by enchanting them.

    Boat enchantments...you should make three or four boat enchantments like indestrucktability and things like that.

    Awesome! I think that the boats shouldn’t be able to be enchanted through an enchanting table though. There should be like another way maybe through enchanted books or some other method. Also the enchantments should be pretty rare if not I feel like it would make travelling too easy especially on ice. Maybe the speed enchantment would speed you up in water but slow you down on ice? Thanks.

    OR ! Enchant them with fire protection so you can use it to glide on lava in the nether !
    ALSO a really good concept would be a shield enchantment to prevent mobs from getting in the boat such as spiders, drowned, skeletons CREEPERS !

    YES! Enchanting Boats:
    Depth Strider makes them go faster.
    Respiration makes them more resistance to bubbles from Magma or Soul blocks.

    (As much as I would like the idea of Respiration = submarine, that might be too much)

    Or maybe rather than faster maybe an air bubble, and night vision enchantments. The same as what the heart of the sea does but it only works when your in the boat underwater. no area of effect.

    in the same sense you can say remove all tools except netherite cuz netherite is faster. the point of boats is to be a early game thing for traveling the oceans getting a enchanting table and waiting for some time to get depth strider its a more useful thing but a lot harder

    This is Skizzleman's #1 request. And it makes a lot of sense. Lava boats, or boats that can "climb" would add a lot to the game.
