First, there is tall grass.  I do not see what you are trying to say about it though.

Second, I do not see any tall grass (2 blocks tall) in your png.  There are large quantities of regular grass (1 block tall) in your png.

There is some tall grass (2 blocks tall) near the forest on your right, and there are many tall ferns (2 blocks tall) in the forest ahead.

My screenshots show the correct (Java) behavior. Bedrock has nowhere near this much tall grass.

But all the grass in your snapshot is not tall grass.  All the grass is only one block tall, while tall grass is 2 blocks tall.

No need to be deliberately pedantic

Bedrock actually used to have as much tall grass as Java, but they decided to remove a big portion of it in 0.15 (I believe that's the version, can't confirm but it's around that time frame)

This issue hasn't been touched in some time, but I'd like to try and resurrect it.

The parity problem here, for anyone confused, is that the plains and savanna generation in Bedrock generates a significantly lower amount of tall grass than that of the Java edition. You can see what Java edition looks like in OP's picture.

Here's what Bedrock's generation looks like for context. This screenshot is from 1.14.30 on Windows 10:

As you can see, it's much more barren than what Java is producing.

It's important to note that Bedrock used to have generation with more tall grass! Back during the MCPE days, grass generated like it does on Java. I have no idea why this was changed to what we have now.

I really want to see tall grass improved on Bedrock. When I walk around the plains, it just looks so barren, plain and... wrong for the game.

So, yes, I fully support improving this change and I hope a Mojangster can comment on this topic soon.

Why is this not popular! The bedrock grass plant generation looks NOTHING compared to java. The low amount of taller grass generation on Bedrock just makes the world look barren and dead, especially in biomes such as Savana and Plains. The legacy console edition had the java grass generation, so I do not see why it doesn't exist here on Bedrock.

Now with them phasing out older devices hopefully this goes higher up in their priority list

Mojang definitely needs to fix this!

Yes Mojang needs to take this issue seriously!. It's been a long time since this issue persists and they didn't even take this issue seriously. The Plains and Savannah's in bedrock edition worlds looks barren and lifeless and it isn't giving a natural feeling when playing the game like Java Edition. I hope Deva will soon fix this issue🙂.

Bedrock environments look really empty compared to Java because of the lack of tall grass (Talking abot tall grass in general, not just the 3 block ones.
