Parity means making features behave consistently across different Minecraft editions, most commonly between Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Use this category to discuss released features that exist in both versions of the game but work differently. Please note that bugs are not parity issues and should be reported separately.

The bedrock's flying system is better imo. It allows for more precise movements and was implemented based on the console edition flight, which allows you to place blocks at the same speed you fly. It's pretty much essential for console players because of the inherent lack of precision from the controller itself

In my opinion it would be fine if the current Bedrock flight could be platform-specific, if console players find it easier. On Win10 it should be like Java.

The flight mechanics in bedrock/java editions should be a menu option, IMHO

Totally agree, while some prefer it, it should be an option. It's very disorienting to me, and is one of the few things making windows 10 edition feel inauthentic.

Created a new parity item to break out the flight ending when you land vs. the movement mechanics into a separate thing, as there may be different opinions on the two parts of the mechanics: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360071966971--Java-Parity-Creative-mode-flight-should-end-when-you-land
