Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Get rid of unnecessary blocks

This has been annoying to me for awhile. There are so many blocks such as the bone block, nether wart block and terracotta that just feel unnecessary and simply crowd up the inventory. It feels like it ruins the simplicity of the game a little bit. If a block isn't unique in anyway, don't make it.

    If they removed the bone and nether wart blocks, it would be way harder to store all of your bones and nether warts, and ruin a lot of builds that use them. as for the terracotta, if you removed that, your entire mesa biome would be a huge crater.

    I would like to clear up the inventory, but every block I can think of has its purpose.

    As TheFriendlyPine pointed out: Storage. You can convert bone blocks back into bone meal, but not bone meal back into bones. You can turn nether warts into nether wart blocks, but not nether wart blocks back into nether warts. All these "unnecessary blocks" are good for decoration. They are intended for decoration. The bone blocks are also used for random structures throughout the Minecraft world. This is a bad idea in my opinion indeed.

    Maybe just more inventory tabs for better organization and fewer blocks per tab?

    If you don't like them, don't use them.  If it "ruins" the simplicity of the game, good!  Minecraft isn't supposed to be simple.  The more content, the better!
