Placing blocks is weird

You used to not be able to place a block when it was inside your playermodel, but now you can and it pushes you aside. This is a small detail but infuriating to me, I died multiple times trying to navigate in lava pools in caves and fell once when I was trying to build straight up. Stuff like this keeps happening to me please just change it back, thank you.
