Wii U World Transfers on Switch Bedrock

Dear Minecraft Team, 

 

I was really excited to play Minecraft (bedrock) on the Nintendo Switch, but I was extremely disappointed learning that I could no longer transfer my Wii U worlds on the system when I picked up Bedrock edition a few weeks ago. On your website it says, "There is currently no way to transfer worlds directly from Wii U, but it is something we are looking at for the future." Knowing that the Nintendo Switch Edition can transfer worlds to Bedrock, why can't you re-release the Switch edition for a free download, so that Wii U players can put their worlds on Bedrock. It seems like an important feature that is missing.

    Yes! It would be so easy to add so just add it! My Wii u world is just begging to be played but I can't because of lag and it not being practical! PLEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!

    I want the old version back. I have a lot of worlds on Minecraft: Wii U Edition that I want to transfer to the Nintendo Switch, but they removed Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition from the store even for Wii U players. It’s not fair because I couldn’t have gotten Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition while it was available because I didn’t have a Nintendo Switch at the time. And now, my worlds are stuck on Minecraft: Wii U Edition forever. How come when they were planning on releasing the Bedrock Version, they didn’t have a second thought about last gen players that can’t afford to buy new consoles. I have a Nintendo Switch now, and have gotten it last year, but I still cannot transfer worlds because the old version was removed from the store. If you’re reading this Mojang, Microsoft, or 4J, please do something about it. I don’t care too much about updating it because I have the Bedrock Version and can use that for updates, but I just want you to either bring back Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition or find a possible way to transfer worlds directly from Wii U to Switch Bedrock without having the old version

    I just spent 30 dollars just so I could play my Wii U world on the switch. I don’t know how long my Wii U will continue to keep working. This is why we need to be able to transfer our Wii U world’s to the Nintendo switch. I just wasted 30 dollars on the Switch version to realize that I spent my hard earned money for nothing. Please make it possible to transfer Wii U world’s to the switch once again this is so saddening and I was getting back into Minecraft. Now I might not even play and have to deal with this loss of money.

    Same situation in our house. It's really disappointing. Please either allow some kind of access to the Switch edition, or add some kind of fix to convert the worlds to Bedrock.

    I need my worlds on my switch bedrock. I don’t have Minecraft Nintendo switch edition (2017) to transfer my worlds. We need a tool or software to transfer our worlds directly to bedrock.

    I recently realized that I can’t get my old worlds back from the Wii U edition because you guys removed the older version from switch and I’m aiming toward you finding a way to convert Wii U Minecraft edition to bedrock so I don’t have to worry about any loses, if the Wii U can’t transfer worlds to Nintendo bedrock's edition for minecraft

    Your Wii U will have to be soft modded now to get your worlds on Nintendo Switch.
