Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Upgradable furnaces

You should be able to upgrade a furnace to increase its smelting speed this could be done by surrounding a normal furnace with iron ingots in a crafting grid to get an iron furnace, then repeat the process with gold, and diamond, and finally redstone, which lets you turn it on or off with a redstone signal( it still requires fuel, it just lets you pause the smelting)

    Maybe there is a furnace we need to smelt nether ores (if added) and it would use fuels only available in the nether. To the nether furnace (needs a better name like hellforge or something) those are  basic like coal but to the overworld furnace to it is extremely good, shortens smelt time but doesn't burn for long since it can't hold the fuel
