Welcome to part 2 of the Hot Springs article! If you didn't read part 1, please click the link at the bottom to lead you to it.
The last thing that will be added to the Hot Springs biome is of course a new mob and the special materials that it drops that you can use for your creations.
The Ooze
Description: It’s a variant of slime that has a smaller core than that of a regular slime. The outer layer of its slime is a bright orange and the inner core is turquoise.
Abilities
Movement Speed - The moisture of the slime on an Ooze makes it so that it can move twice as fast than a regular slime so watch out!
Recombining - When an Ooze is being forced to split and their enemy is far away from them, they will try to recombine.
Changing Colors - When they go in water their outer layer of slime will be turquoise and the core will be bright orange. They will be like a swimming block through the water.
Growth Stages - The Ooze actually has 5 size stages instead of 3 with the last two being bigger than a large slime. However, with the last 2 stages being bigger than a large slime, the Ooze's movement speed will deplete.
Drops: Ooze Orb
Design: Same shape as a slimeball but a texture similar to the Ooze mob.
Amount Dropped: 3-4
Ooze Block: This block is a slime block with gravity so you can attach blocks to it and make them fall with it. When it comes in contact with a slime block it will attach itself to it but the block has no grip on ice blocks. Instead, they slide on them when pushed.
