The deer

The deer is a new mob found in Redwood forests. It is hard to catch due to its speed. It comes in a variety of skin colors like horses do.  When killed, it will drop leather and horns.

    It should be very fast, but with low enough health to be killed by a fully charged arrow.  Also, it should spawn in all forest biomes.

    could be neutral? I mean, if we attack them it will counterattack with their antlers and also it could drop raw deer

    Why just in forests? IRL deer range pretty much anywhere? Also should not drop leather, but perhaps some meat that could be cooked. Antlers a good idea but then what are those used for?

    Yes!!! I've wanted deer in minecraft since I first started playing. I think there should be different designs for bucks, does, and fawns, and you should only be able to get antlers from the bucks.I think they should appear in all forest biomes though, not just redwood.

    Raw Venison, Ability to drop antlers and possibly provide two bonemeal, hide/leather, hooves used for something, Bucks will run you off if you get too close or flee if hit even if charging before they are attacked, doe protecting fauns, small herd ability, run from wolves, foxes could only attack fauns, variations of deer colour like chestnut/darker browns/dust colour/tan,using the sinew/whatever you want it to be called to possibly make leather armour or if added backpacks. Similar to Mo's creatures because I am not dealing with the new horse models being implemented onto deer if this happens.

    Deer should drop antlers which can be hung on the wall and possibly used for other types of decorative items. They should move quickly and run away from you making them difficult to hunt unless you stand very still. But maybe retrieved antlers could be used to help with luring or taming. Tame deer could be rideable like horses but would also aid in fighting with their antlers as long as you are riding them (not when you get off)

    It could be cool if there’s deer added to Minecraft and maybe you could use the antlers of the deer to craft a deer hunting bow or you can mount it’s head on a wall to for decorations

    That is a great idea. I think they should have big antlers. Maybe there could be a white stag found in one of the biomes, but is very rare. Maybe it could drop one of the rarest items in the game.

    I just had a thought, what if there was a way to make jerky, that would be awesome. Maybe that is something you could do with the recently added smoker.

    Deer would be fast and somewhat sturdy, and drop leather and raw venison, which could be cooked, perhaps giving 7 hunger or something like that. Deer should drop more food than other animals but rare (little pun there) and would spawn in forest-like biomes. They could be useful if you have a fire-aspect sword, if you're travelling through a forest or taiga most of the way to something, you could forego taking food with you.

    They might also help if animal farms were going to be balanced.

    Also they should NOT be tamable, deer are infamous for their timidity, although there have been cases where deer have become trusting of human neighbors, so perhaps you could feed deer and get them to trust you.

    Where I live we have white-tailed deer, which the babies have white dots on them. Maybe we can breed deer and the babies look like or similar to white-tailed deer. If you kill a deer, they can drop there meat- called Venison.

    They could drop venison and deer heads to put on your wall. I also think they should spawn in any forest biome. Since they are fast, you would only be able to come up to them when sneaking. I also think they should have different genders and can't breed if both have antlers or both have no antlers. So the ones that have no antlers are male and ones without are female

    And if you kill a deer with a certain horn amount (say more than 6 spikes/ tines where 6 is typical and more than 6 is kinda rare) then you have a chance of getting something valuable.

    Stag & Doe Deers. They drop venison but a random chance for stags to drop antlers and the doe drop leather. Rare spawn of a white stag, that allows for taming so that fantasy lovers can have a mount (like a horse). Antlers can be mounted or grounded down for potion ingredient. As for health, strong like a cow but fast, making it an effort for the reward. Might even be worth adding a trap or bait feature. Might work well for rabbit catching as well.

    They should also spawn in the lower sections of mountain, (an idea for the 1.17 Mountain Update) where there would be more trees and abundance of fruit and berries available. There could also be a reindeer whoch would spawn at the snowier sections of mountains.

    It would also be cool if there was a update to arrows so your able to use more and stick into the animal. maybe add a way to track a wounder deer ,this being able to add foot prints ,mounts, hides,knifes,ect. This would be awesome

    It should be able to be lured and breed but not the same way as other animals so you can catch and spread them in a place you seeded with redwoods

    On christmas they should have Christmas lights on their antlers and should have a winter skin
