Visible armour while using chests

It would be very useful if you could see your armour slots and what they have in it while using chests. This would really help because you might forget to put your armour away, die then lose you armour. This would be helpful for many people as this might happen to them (it hasn't happened to me but it almost has). I really do think this would be useful.
