Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Thatch Blocks

Thatch Blocks would be crafted with a 3x3 of Tall Grass blocks.
Currently, players typically use Hay Bales for thatch roofs, but they take a lot of work to acquire, and their vibrant yellow is gaudy for medieval-styled builds. Thatch Blocks would be perfect!

    You cant collect tall grass in survival. Regular grass would work fine though.

    Perhaps the textures could be changed. But I still love the idea to add more use to grass.

    This would be a great addition to Minecraft! It's a cheap block that has a similar style to Hay Bale, But Hay bale as a building block can be unreasonably expensive. This block would be great if mojang ever decides to insert jungle villages or simply more houses to villages already existing in the game.

    I think this would be a good idea, though perhaps making it able to be turned into stairs would be cool so it looks more like roofing instead of blocks.

    I like to use stairs when I build a roof & I think it would be a great addition if they could make thatch steps so then the roof could look sloped & not blocky -seems like they could/ should do shingles/shakes as well according to the wood types
