Lions would be pretty cool, they should probably be neutral toward the player during the day though, and hostile at night, like spiders. Pretty sure irl lions prefer to hunt at night anyway, so it'd make sense.

They could be strong enough to break leads  as soon as they start walking away from them.

If they can be tamed, they would need to be VERY difficult to tame. But I love the idea. They'd look amazing in Minecraft and would be a great rival to the wolf.

Lions can trust the player if given meat/fish/rotten flesh, and they will attack if you attack other lion.

I think that they should add lions because well and lionesses because WE NEED MORE AN8MALS IN THE SAVANAH and you could ride them and it would be adorable and you could make a small zoo!

I would like to have lions as a neutral mob. It rarely attacks without reason. At least towards the player. They do hunt everything from horses to pigs. They are more smart about attacking anything that could be a theat. There would be lionesses, lions, and of course cubs. The males sleep alot and often get into fights with other male lions to defend their territory

There would be lions with dark manes and Tanner skin that are the most agresive however. They would go out of their way to attack players, bears, mobs, etc. these lions fight with lighter mane lions to gain control of more territory. ( whether you
    intervene is up to you.)

On to the taming part: cubs can be tamed with meat of any sort and once grown act similar to dogs and attack your enemies. The Minecraft team can decide if they can be rideable. (I'm kinda found of the idea myself.)

Lions would spawn in the Savannah in groups of 5-7 with only 1-2 male lions and the rest being female or cubs. Dark mane lions spawn rarely around prides and attempt to kill the dominant males of the pride to take it for themselves

    (Plz consider this)

They should be a neutral mob. They spawn in groups of 5 to 6 (perhaps only one with a mane). They'll attack you if you either attack them or a member of the pride. And they can attack livestock. So make sure to fence them in in the savanah.

I don't think they should be 100% hostile but yes adding lions is a must for one of the new animals.

I think they should hunt animals because the only real rival for food is wolves (sort of). We don't really have any other competition to find food or a source of danger for our farms. It would make the game a bit more difficult, having to properly secure your farm with a predator about. But I think if they did hunt animals they shouldn't leave behind any drops. They should also have a 2 block jump height and as for a it being slain, maybe don't give a drop but a status affect, called "King of the Wilds" where you intimidate hostile mobs and they flee for a certain duration.
