Cross Rail or junction rail

Cross Rail or junction rail.  let 2 perpendicular rails cross on same plane. 

we need this to make rails work better for those of us who use them.

    Placing a switch or button or activator rail near a split should allow us to decide which way to turn.  We shouldn't have to make elaborate redstone set ups just to make a rail junction.  Redstone between the switch/button/activator and the junction should be enough.

    CloudyTeacher78 i mean like 2 rails that cross like a plus. switching rails are a whole diffent thing that i would love to see an update for.

    I'm a rail enthusiast and for Minecraft to add the ability to create railway junctions, whether it be for a single branch line to a city station with 20 lanes of tracks. This will be very useful for Rail enthusiasts and is much simpler than Redstone T Junctions.

    Yes! This would be so useful especially for the cave update! I think a lever should be able to change the lines for the rails making it more realistic.

    The idea of assigning random platforms has been. become a little more difficult because you have to cut the track to make the Junction to the platforms
