Meteor Crater (Biome) (was: A new biome idea)

How about  meteor craters as a biome where rare ores or ‘nether rifts’ can appear as a way to enter new nether biomes as well that act differently to other biomes where the game physics are distorted because of these rifts adding some difficulty to exploring them

    There should be lots of coal and a stone variant of nether quarts ore.

    I like the idea of a meteor crater biome. I just don't see the need for the other stuff.
