Auras

Adding auras that all have different abilities like making mobs fear you, animals like pigs to follow you without a carrot, or making hostile entities like a player holding a sword near you or a zombie walking toward you to get the effect slowness and get pushed back once and the strength of the push depends on the strength of the aura and auras can be gained by defeating new bosses that have the aura you’ll get, you can strengthen your aura by training the player in some way.

    Kind of like smells and could be used in the same way splash potions are. I think it's kind of good, I think the effects will be kind of minor though and the AI already exists when it comes to creepers and cats.
