It's time to go small with redstone networks.

(This suggestion in particular may not be original, but whatever. Will update soon.) I suggest that there could be a new type of redstone wiring that could compact up to 4 redstone lines at once. I call it the redstone network. Each wire could be color-coded and lead to specific parts of redstone machinery. They could be hooked up to special conductive hoppers to make some impressive contraptions in game. These networks can hook up to walls too.
