Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Lentils - A New Crop and Food Item

Lentils would be found growing in Villages and they would also be rarely dropped by Zombies.

Lentils

On their own, Lentils heal one hunger point (1/2 a hunger bar icon) and 0.6 saturation. However, three Lentils can be combined with a Bowl and a Carrot to create Lentil Soup, which heals eight hunger points (4 hunger bar icons) and 7.0 saturation.

Lentil Soup

Lentils are one of the earliest crops cultivated by humans, so I think they would fit nicely into Minecraft.

    Very nice idea and textures, but I think we should have a discussion like this before thinking about adding new foods. Voted nonetheless.

    Nice artwork, great concept, and even though I absolutely HATE lentil soup in real life, I like the idea! But no offense to the lentils lovers out there XD.
