Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Cake Batter

The recipe for cake should create cake batter, and when cake batter is baked in a furnace, it should produce a cake.  It would be much more realistic.

    Why not also pumpkin pie, bread, and cookies?

    I like the desire for realism, but my issue with this is that it nerfs a food item that is already underused. Until a system like this one is put into place to encourage people to eat a variety of foods, this idea will make no sense.

    Eh...  Yes, it makes sense, but Minecraft isn't the most logical game in general.  None of the baked goods items require cooking.  If we're going to be realistic about cooking there is a whole category of items that should need extra steps, like bread dough, pie crusts, and the cooking process itself.  And if we're going to get serious about it we need to grind wheat into flour before we can do any baked goods with it...

    I would say that pie should be changed, but I dunno how pie is made in real life, so I didn’t suggest it.  I forgot about cookies.  They should have dough that is cooked in the oven.  Same for bread.

    We have cocoa beans. It would be pretty neat if we could have chocolate cake.

    UPDATE FOR ALL VERSIONS OF MINECRAFT

    Add Berry Pie, Apple Pie, Carrot Cake and Chocolate Cake to the game. There should be unbaked items added and an oven added to bake the unbaked items into the baked items instead of using the crafting table which would be similar to using the smoker for meat/fish. Additionally, they can still be baked with a furnace, just not as fast and not as efficiently.

    Oven Recipe:
    Top Layer: Cobblestone
    Middle Layer: Cobblestone, Furnace, Cobblestone
    Bottom Layer: Cobblestone

    Pie Recipe (All Fillings):
    Middle Layer: Sugar, (Apple, Berry, OR Pumpkin), Sugar
    Bottom Layer:Wheat, Egg, Wheat

    (Chocolate/Carrot) Cake Recipe:
    Top Layer: Milk, Milk, Milk
    Middle Layer: (Cocoa Bean/Carrot), Egg, (Cocoa Bean/Carrot)
    Bottom Layer: Wheat, Wheat, Wheat

    All the unbaked items have a chance to give a poisoning effect when eaten. The unbaked items can be made using a crafting table with the exception for the Potato as those can be found naturally.

    Unbaked Items: Cookie Dough, Bread Dough, Cake Batter, Chocolate Cake Batter, Carrot Cake Batter, Potato, Pumpkin Pie Filling, Apple Pie Filling, Berry Pie Filling

    Baked Items: Cookie, Bread, Cake, Chocolate Cake, Carrot Cake, Baked Potato, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Berry Pie

    this would be cool, but it would be better if you added the frosting after, with milk and sugar.
