Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    I'd say that's very imbalanced and against the spirit of Minecraft.

    That is super easy. All you need is a pressure plate connected to a dispenser with ender pearls and record where you end up. Then just build a fake little teleportation receiver there. Easy.

    I like the idea if there is a big cost of use or a big cost of creation to it, so that other forms of travel (boat, elytra, nether,..) are still preferable in distances less than 1000 blocks and this is a solution for very far distance travel (e.g. 100.000 blocks)

    Also, looking at the nether, the end portal, ender pearls and chorus fruit, I don't see teleportation as violating a Minecraft spirit.

    @GoldenGamer9870: Are you sure this works with the dispenser? I have some doubts.

    I had a similar idea;

    • Place a 2x2 grid of glazed terracotta with an identical matching set above it (leaving a 2 block gap to 'stand' in).
    • The terracotta does not have to be the same colour or be orientated in a specific direction (this give a huge variation of 16x16x4 = 1024 possible combinations)
    • Use an identical grid somewhere else in the world
    • When redstone power is applied to the top or bottom it links them with a "beam" of warp in the middle, joining the two pads (same wibbly as a portal)
    • Stepping into one will TP you to the closest powered grid that matches the pattern.
    • If you place a sign on any of the terracotta, only the named players on the sign can see that TP pad when coming in.

    Just about every MC server uses some sort of TP mechanic - it would be really useful to build it into single player game mode so you can move between villages or explore and have a cool way to jump from one base to another.

    Using this method would also allow redstone geniuses to create multiple destinations with block swapping mechanisms, and allow players to create really 'secret bases' and/or hide access within a patterned floor.

    Harrybossatron you need to be more specific with your ideas, Do you craft the telepad? Do you build the telepad? Do you find the telepad? And on your security camera post, how do you craft it? Is there a certain way to hook it up to the tv? How do you craft the tv? I'm just saying, i think you need to be more specific. Just saying.
