Creating your own name in minecraft

The Ability to change your name above. Bye going to host privileges and change your name. Example my name is MCPEDLcom well its not mine but. If i want to change it into Oliver wood instead of that.

    I'm pretty sure you can change your name. What is it that you are asking exactly?

    It means like you know when you want to log in to mine craft you don't like your username anymore and everyone can see it. So maybe its best to change it. As in Wood Angus or ANgel anything right?

    Based on your image, you're playing mobile.  I do too, and under Settings -> Profile there is an option to "change gamertag".  When I tap it, it takes me to a page where I can download the xbox app.  I assume that means that I could change my gamertag, which would change the name that displays if I downloaded and logged into the app.

    ClayGoddessSari if you change your gamertag more than once, you get fined10$ for every change.

    If you mean XBox live, well you have to pay. When I made my XBox live account, I chose a wise username, something that I wouldn't likely want to change.

    when I first came on and made my username it had a username.I made my own and started the game. About an hour later I come back on and my username is the one it picked for me.I wanted to change it but I don't have money.

    I believe they are asking for a quick menu button (on the home page when you first load up the game) to change the user. Like a typing bar or something where you can put whatever user you want, hit "confirm" (or whatever), and that could be your username. Maybe separate from your Xbox gamertag.

    I have a java nickname (on which I play) but recently I purchased the pocked edition too and despite using the same email to log in, I have a different nickname on PE than on my java version which I find very annoying. I play on java and like my nick there and would like to have it on all platforms. 

    For some reason, I even have the PE nick here on The Feedback page.... I would like to have my Java nick here as I do not associate with this randomly generated nickname from the pocked edition.

    If anyone knows how to resolve this please contact me through the feedback page.

    While most platforms permit evolving usernames, Minecraft has a few confinements when you have to change Minecraft username.

    This could be potentially used negatively by hackers or griefers. Change the name, create chaos, then become someone else to clear your name. There would need to be careful consideration when implementing this to bedrock. I can see the posative in this as well for role players and realm members. So perhaps just being able to have a nickname, similar to the scorebored objective command the displays information above the players head. Xbox has already thought this out and that is why you only get one free gamertag change. We do not need to make it harder for realm owners to protect their assets.
