Small trees with twigs

 I think there should be another part to trees. A tree growing from a sapling straight into a normal sized tree doesn't make sense. There should be a step between them. After the sapling, there would be a baby tree with twigs as the trunk. If you break a twig you'll get a twig (obviously) but if you put the twigs in the crafting table you'll get 2 sticks.

    Yes, this logically makes sense.  But I'm not sure this is a change they should make at this point.  People rely on the mechanism of how trees grow to do various things, and I bet this would change too much.
