Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Lavalogged Blocks

Now that we have waterlogged blocks in the 1.13 snapshots, I think lavalogged blocks would be very logical. I know this would be a lot of work for you, but maybe you can get it ready until 1.13.2? If you can, please implement it, it would be so cool.

    I really like this idea as well. It would help map makers design really cool floors/walls, and it would overall look nice.

    i would love this, escpecially for a nether base. you could have a stair pattern in the floor and fill it with lava. you could also implement it in a way that makes cobblestone generators way easier, like a 3 block wide one with the water and lava in stair blocks

    Lava should've been updated alongside water in that update. I'm currently waiting for this update to modify a build I've been working on.

    @Bilbo Baggins magma blocks don’t flow, they don’t come come in slabs or stairs and they don’t delete items

    to comment on the original post, what happens when lavalogged stairs meet water?

    Especially with the Nether Update now, I think it makes a lot of sense for lavalogging to be implemented. I've seen people use waterlogging in a ton of awesome ways, and I would love to see this added.

    The 1.16 Nether Update is the perfect time to implement this. Because the Nether (and lava) will be receiving much more traffic, lavalogged blocks would be good.

    It is indeed a really good idea! And looks like with the aquatic update mojang was focusing only on things linked to water or they were just lazy to do the same with lava.

    I hope we get it with the nether update!

    Especially now with the Nether update in 1.16, it'd be the perfect time to introduce this. Especially if the goal is to have folks be building bases in the nether, they can use stairs and have better accents next to lava pools.

    Really good idea, would never come on it. Great addition for building and possible structures that could spawn under the lava. Also now that there is Nether Update.. just really nice!

    it is now 1.16! We need this! I'd love to be able to use walls as supports for a bridge over lava, but I need lavalog to do it!

    Any blocks that are flammable would just be lit when you put the lava into the block

    Additionally lava logged blocks should do damage like magma blocks unless sneaking it would make hidden lava useful for traps and hidden lighting take up less space as well.

    I love this idea! Apparently it was posted two years ago, but it's quite relevant now that 1.17 is coming. With the new dripstone caves in the 20w49a snapshot, weird things can happen when pointed dripstone and lava meet (see MC-207296). If you can have lava-filled cauldrons, why not lavalogged blocks?

    Wooden items should be set on fire by the bench and disappear so this would only work for stone and Nether wood.

    If dripstone could pull from the lava source in a copper grate (with a block beneath or not) that would be so much better looking, and smaller than current farms.
