Orcas (Tame/Ride) and Rays (Tame)

Hi,

 

I am writing on behalf of my five-year-old son who would like to submit an idea.

Could you develop orcas and rays. The orcas would live in the sea and the rays (their prey) would live in rocky bays. Some orcas will live in the rocky bays too. 

You would be able to tame an orca and ride it. Orca babies would go with their mum to hunt and let you use a name tag to name the orcas and the rays too. You would be able to keep pet rays.

Please do it as I will be so happy and have lots of other ideas to share.

    Your son has some really good ideas and I think it would be cool if they were added. While I don't think Mojang would allow you to tame the orca or ride it due to their strict rules about protecting animals, I think it would be cool if you could be friend Orcas instead kind of like dolphins. The Sting Rays on the other hand could be tamable as we desperately need more tamable mobs and to my knowledge Sting rays aren't in any real danger.

    Minecraft since i want to tame an orca and tame a ray and keep them as pets so can you please just add the orca and ray including the jellyfish and my other game drop ideas into the game starting in 2026 which spring 2026 summer 2026 fall 2026 and winter 2026, please I'm begging you

    I liked the idea until you mentioned taming and riding the orcas. Do mind that orcas get stressed in containment (Looking at you sea world) and are Apex predators. Riding an orca would also be illegal because of marine mammal laws mentioning you can not approach, touch, track, hunt, or do anything that changes their behavior (like changing their path) and so your idea of taming and riding an orca violates a rule for suggestions and also violates real life conservation rules. Orcas are also intelligent and must travel long distances daily which keeping them in an aquarium is harmful to real living orcas. Orcas should be kept wild and not tamed, and feeding orcas is a violation because it can change their behavior in real life and make them feed from human scraps and may cause confusion because orcas have groups that eat different animals. An orca will eat fish only but another orca may eat sea mammals instead.
