I like this idea a lot and it should be a thing 100%.

I agree 100 percent. A lot of mods, resource packs, maps, ect for Minecraft Java are horribly outdated( Windows 1.12,1.13,etc) and won't work on current versions of Minecraft. If there I a Java marketplace, then people wouldn't have to worry about outdated downloads or whether 3rd arty content is safe or dangerous. Sure you can get Java downloads for free, but what good does it do if you cannot play that version 1.12 download on your version 1.14  of Minecraft? You'd be forced to do a rollback.which is annoying.Just because something is free doesn't mean it's good.

@krazygameYT I still want things to be free like normal for Java, but my idea of a Java Marketplace is an easier experience for newer and existing players to find mods, Texture Packs, Skins etc in one place other than all over the place. I wasn't thinking that Mojang should host it themselves and make people pay for everything like in Bedrock, but just one place to find everything easily by searching and one place for all Minecraft creators (including 3rd party and ones made by Minecraft themselves possibly) to put their mods safely. I imagine it being a piece of mind thing for all players more than a thing you have to pay for. If Mojang or someone from the Minecraft community can make a Marketplace for Java, I really hope they make it all free like Java has always been 🙂

It would be nice if Java had an area that they compiled some of the files, because whenever I try to download a mod it just says "Safari can't open" or something. However, the term marketplace suggests that it would cost money, and I believe that if Mojang did this it most likely would.

I agree with this. Java needs a safe place to get these things. Many kids and even some adults (myself included, trying to get my kid a mod) have fallen victim to these predatory websites. Many hide the texture packs, skins, capes & mods in places that are hard to tell are safe or not, and will redirect you many times before you get what you came for. I would rather just pay for the skins or resource pack like I did with a realms server instead of paying for port-forwarding setup.

Also I would love to see Emotes come to Java with this.

Things are free on Bedrock and you can still choose to pay. Why be restricted when you can have more options? You can still choose the free route on Bedrock by downloading them yourself or installing your worlds / converting them. Making things safer on Java would prevent many from downloading malicious software, getting viruses, or losing their accounts just trying to get access to these things for free. I am sure many Java creators would love to be a part of the store creators as well. Many of Java editions texture / skin pack creators make content on the Marketplace on bedrock already and would not mind making them for Java too. This would only benefit All parties and fund both Minecraft and the content creator.

Yeah, plus I have a certain skin I love that I use on Bedrock Edition but I can’t obtain it on Java because it doesn’t have the marketplace within it
