    This could be a late-game obtainable item.  Similar to how Horse Armor and Saddles can't be crafted neither can the Dog Bed.  You can only find them every once in a while in the chests of The End, or perhaps a new dimension/dungeon.

    What the Dog Bed would give is the ability to attach it to a pet dog of your choice.  If that dog dies, they will re-spawn where the bed is.  If they have no bed then they won't re-spawn.

    If you call it a "Pet Bed" this an include cats as well.  A birdcage could be for your pet birds.  These late game "spawn" items would be great for those wanting to hold on to their pets.

    Interesting concept, maybe we could extend this functionality to cats as well? And maybe some special perches for parrots, and some kind of hay bed for horses or llamas...

    me parece una buena idea aunque la opcion de que regenere deberia ser mas complicado para supervivencia tal vez encantando la cama podria ser posible que regenerara por un limite de veces

    Maybe there should be a certain amount of time you dog could respawn (3-5)

    I would just like to say dogs respawning is a really bad idea seeing as it becomes too much like the humans respawning but I think dog beds and cat beds along with bird cages and horses hay! A really useful late game item! Also I think there should be a put to bed icon appear when you put your dog near it! Currently I’m making do with carpet or actual beds for my dogs on minecraft,🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    They should make dog beds in many colors to choose from.

    Yes, but they are not dogs…

    Like the concept but extend it for cats and don't make them respawn just recover health without having to give them food. It should be just out of wool and wood.

    I hope they consider this.

    I like this one because your dog cant die just like you, and I'm tired of trying to save my dog whenever he gets hurt and to feed him.

    I wouldn't really like this idea. The fact that your dog can die makes you more attached to the dog. I believe I would care less about my dog if I knew he would just respawn after falling in lava or something.

    Pet beds would probably need a respawn delay, maybe around 5 minutes or so, because dogs can teleport if they're set to follow you. Teleporting paired with instant respawn would be a bit overpowered, because your dog could instantly teleport to you after respawn.

    I've heard about this idea in AntVenom's video and I rly like it, but I'd like to add more to this idea, both in its concept, functionality and mechanic.

    My idea is: make a Dog House, something that would be 1x1x1.5 (1 and a half block tall). Imo this would be a much better fitting concept than a "bed".

    How it'd work: you'd take a single dog on a lead and then right click the dog house. This would link that dog to that specific house. This would only work if you don't have anything else on a lead (so if you have 2 dogs it won't work, if you have one dog and another animal it won't work). You guys could choose if the lead would or wouldn't be consumed when doing this,

    How to identify: once the dog house has been linked to a dog, it'll raise a small flag (maybe something like those classic mailbox flags?) that's the same color as the dog's colar, meanwhile the dog's colar could have some detail added on it to point out that it's already linked to a dog house.

    Dog respawning mechanics: I have a few different ideas to handle how the dog would respawn, since if left unchecked it could become broken pretty easily. Here are the ideas I came up with:

    > The dogs respawns instantly, but they respawn sitting, and they'll only come after you again if you right click then (aka they won't help you even if you are in danger unless u've right clicked them)

    > Upon death, they'll revive after a cooldown time, which could be shorter or longer depending on the game difficulty, but once they're respawned they can teleport back to you regardless of where you are.

    > After dying they reappear inside the dog house, but they'll only leave the dog house once you've feed X pieces of meat to them (breaking the dog house while they're inside it would make the dog be gone forever)

    Absolutely there should be a bed that respawns your dog! If you lose them in lava deep in a cave you can just meet them back home and not have to mourn lol

    I do love this idea, basically, your dog respawns, so you don't grow to attached. We already saw all the "When your dog dies in minecraft" memes to know what happens. I'm not crying, there's just water in my eyes...

       I hear what you are saying, "hugshealhearts" and I fully agree except for one thing: "and if the dog dies he will re spawn at the bed." I get that minecraft users die and re spawn but its taking away alot of the game of "death" if that makes any sense at all and replacing it with invincibility.

       Now, I would understand it if Mojang added a "staff" or object that is really hard to get, in which revives a animal or person. For example, if something dies, (Villager, dog, cat, parrot, ect), than they would drop a grave with their name tag name or minecraft name, (Villager, dog, cat, parrot, ect), and you can place the grave and revive them with a staff that is single use only.

       Personally, it makes alot more sense but other than that, I think adding minecraft dog and even cat beds (or more objects involving animals), is a great idea and it will give the game a more "realistic vibe" and great building item!

    Good idea, but to balance it how about when they respawn they sit there till you go back (so it still punishes you when it dies)

    no i dont like the concept of easily respawning dogs how about just an item that brings back a lost pet (late game item ) maybe a gift at the end . make it something special .

    Also, if the wolf is injured, it can just teleport to where it's bed is to regain health. So this (the wolf teleporting during fight/battle to it's bed) doesn't confuse the player, a message in the chat could say "(wolf's name) went back to bed to gain more health." As soon as the wolf's health is full, it teleports back to you. However, if you are in the Nether or the End, you can bring the bed with you to that dimension in your inventory. Just my thoughts, though.

    With the new animation that has tamed cats sleeping at the end of the minecraft bed, I came here to suggest a cat bed. However, "pet bed" would be better as it would apply to wolves and cats. The re-spawning idea is ok, but I was just thinking of it as a cool new feature with no real purpose.

    It could be crafted with carpet and a block of wool and it could be made with any color like this
    C= carpet
    W= block of wool

    W   W
    C C C
