Add option to change inventory scroll direction

I cannot for the life of me get used to having the mouse wheel scroll down to go to the right for some reason, and I imagine there are others who would also benefit from being able to switch the direction of scroll.

    To clarify, when I scroll my mouse wheel, the quick-select bar selection picks the selection on the opposite side of what I expect. I know the way Minecraft does it is standard in most video games, but for some reason my brain can't get used to it, and so I would like an option to invert it. Just like some people need to invert the camera controls or they get frustrated, so it is with wheel selection for me.

    i love the scroll wheel in every update 1.8,1.12  and even the first edition of Minecraft, but when 1.13 came out it was all messed up. Now the sensitivity on the scroll wheel makes it so it does not work half the time, and this is not good for PVP in java. ):

    YES I've even tried adding scripts but I'm not experienced and can't get it to work.  I really wish there was a setting for this because it really messes me up in the game and feels uncomfortable.

    While trying to find a way to reverse the scroll direction I've come across posts going back as far as 7 years.  How is this not a thing yet?  I'm not a coder by any means, so is it that hard to implement?  You can invert the mouse itself for looking up/down, why not the scroll wheel?

    Yes please!  I use a trackball that has the mouse wheel mounted on the left side.  In this orientation, the default hotbar scroll direction is opposite to the direction the mouse wheel turns.  It is incredibly frustrating.

    So many other games allow us to rebind the mousewheel directions, please add this option to Minecraft. Mojang, I'm begging you! Save my sanity!
