Overworld dragons

Dragons that spawn (rarely) in emerald caves (caves which contain many emeralds) in the side of mountains.
The dragon would attack villages (hence the emeralds) and would obviously have some kind of breath that inflicts some sort of aliament (hope i spelled that right) upon the player.. (I know awesome right?)

    Yeah and have them tamed with dimonds,because of irony and everybody would think to tame them with emeralds

    I'd love overworld dragons, but not quite in this format. World generation is not that sophisticated, maybe just the occasional small cavern? For that matter why not just have them occasionally roam the overworld?

    And the only ailment-like effect I feel they should inflict is simply just "on fire" because I don't want to worry about some weird new effect when fighting them.

    Also the emerald caves would be a nice idea for an alternate cave type. Maybe not exclusive to emeralds, gold and lapis would be fine as well.

    I like it make it a boss battle and it can't be better (don't make them tameable)

    They should only start spawning when you kill the ender dragon and they won’t attack your spawn point that would be dumb villages no protection anyway even with iron golems. And when you kill the dragon they drop a rare relic they ate. Some dragons would have more hp then other dragons and damage

    I would like the dragon lair idea and overworld dragons attacking occasionally.  Even after you have gone to the End world and killed the dragon boss, have it respawn after a while.

    Creo la idea de más dragones sería asombrosa más jefes además del end pero que sean dragones menores.
    Tal vez de lava, o uno que viva en las montañas o las tierras lejanas y que custodian algo o un elemento especial como el del wither
    Un dragons del cielo al qué podrías llevar como en otro portal

    Also if you found it and you could tame it with rotten flesh. This would give a meaning for rotten flesh and it would be so cool to ride on a dragon.

    This goes in with red dragon idea, but I like the idea of it in Mountain biomes.

    Have you ever seen the hobbit trilligy?  The untamed dragons should raid and burn villages like "Smoug" in the movies.  After burning the village and killing most of the villagers it should gather up all the emerelds and aromer, and take them back to there lair.  To tame an adult dragon you would have to answer five riddles or go get three things for it.

    Maybe not emerald caves and the could possibly spit/breathe out the elements like air fire earth water and maybe more

    The dragons in the Overworld should be a Red Dragon and a Blue Dragon.
    The blue ones should be dragons that fly around in the sky in the overworld above cloud height but spawn very rarely along with dragons that spawn on the ground super rarely. They will resemble the dragons from Avatar the last Airbender or from Spirited Away haku.
    The ones in the sky could be hit with arrows or some tool so they drop Dragon Scales. After you hit them once they will fly away and you only get 1 dragon scale.
    The ones on the ground should be the Red Dragon and if you wake them up can initiate a boss fight, if you manage to beat it then the dragon will drop XP and dragon scales and a Red Dragon Egg. They will resemble the Ender Dragon but they will have bigger wings.
    Dragon Scales can be used in the smithing table for Shields to make a Dragon Shield. Or the Crafting Table and it will take
    Dragon Shield will look like links Hylian Shield from Zelda but red. Dragon Shields can do a “shield bash” which will do damage to mobs

    They dont have to be tamable for me, it would just be cool for some kind of mini boss lik the elder gaurdian.

    They should come in different ages. During the baby stage they should be with their mother. this should also be the only stage they are tamable in, Young Stage. this stage should last until they find a cave. During this stage they should fly long distances in search of a suitable lair. in this stage they currently have no lair. Adult stage where they should mostly stay in the lair but once during this stage they should seek out a mate. The Breeding ritual should have lots of complicated flying. This stage is where if you tamed it while it was a baby it you can start to fly on it. After Its young leaves it will become an ancient dragon. Ancient Dragons should spend most of their time in their lair. Leaving Rarely. The dragon should become more an more dangerous as it gets older. When killed they should drop dragon scales that can be crafted into Dragon Scale Armor witch should be a very strong and durable armor. They should be tamed with emeralds.

    Yes! I would like dragons! I would really like wyverns after all they are my favorite type of dragon. One thing though, you could keep Netherite and just upgrade it with the scales and claws. They could have an interesting life cycle where they start out bad at hunting then grow to get better at it then always get the prey. Also, they could start looking for a mate and after that they would protect their young and one day hunt others young. To close, thank your wonderful game developers of Minecraft. I will be excited for future updates.
