Adding small rodents (Gerbils, field mice, Rats, guinea pigs and hamsters)

Drops:Rodent Skin:Can be crafted into a hat that would give a strength boost in cold areas because it's keeping you head warm.

Seeds: They're cheek pouches should puff out when they have food in their mouths, if they are killed while eating they would drop them.

Spawn Areas:Gerbils and hamsters could live at the area between desserts and plains/forests/acacia bioms, well Guinea pigs could live in mountains and plains bioms. Mice & rats would spawn by crops.

Appearance Details:Babies would be smaller and wouldn't have fur, with gerbils they would have three stages and the second would have fur with a puff on the end of their tail.

Behavior:The rodents would be a little slower than a running cat, they would chew on sticks, plants and crops, which, when being chewed, could look the same as when a player is breaking them. They could carry their babies around and live in holes. Litter:3-10.

villager farmers would attack rodents while the children could lay down with their head up and look at them.

Pets:They should be tamed with 1 dandelion, apple, carrot or any kind of seed. once tamed You should be able to rotate through sit, stand, and roam. With mice if you shift-click you could to put them on your shoulder.

    Personally I think that would be cool because then we can set traps and catch animals in the wild and I think would be cool because then we can catch bigger animals

    Rodents get a bad rap. I would love it if you could train a rodent to detect explosives, poisons, or disease like the Gambian pouched rat. This rat has been used to defuse landmines and screen for tuberculosis in real life. In Mozambique they are called "hero rats". If rats come to Minecraft please give a special name tag Easter egg if you name your rat "Onzo". Onzo was the first Giant Gambian pouched rat born in captivity to APOPO the organization that helps train rats to detect landmines.

    that it a good idea but what if the hamster like you said stores stuff in it's cheeks if you gave it an item and it could carry it like a fox it could be a weaker versions of bundles. =)

    ADD RATS: tamed with anything organic (some things better than others) and would follow you around, and would be able to be put in a pouch to cary them.

    I kinda think they also should do all the different types of rodent/gerbil like for example with the hamsters: a Chinese Dwarf or like a teddy-bear! I have a chinese dwarf right now! And if the did actually come out with a rodent/gerbil update then it would be a great way to remember him later on! Bedrock and Java!!!!!!

    It's a very good idea, apart from that, they could put them in the ruined or abandoned biomes so that they aren't so empty!
