I feel Minecraft Terrain generation is a bit too dull. I've been playing the game for a while and I've seen how back in the day, how unpredictable the generation was back in the Alpha and Beta stages of the game, yet it was unrealistic and vibrant with some areas having many trees, and others practically none.
Yet compared to the current versions of Minecraft in the aspect of terrain as a whole aside from Update Aquatic and the Caving talk going around the feedback hub, the terrain is bland, dull, and VERY predictable since temperature has been added to the game. I also feel the game is a bit washed out of color to make the game feel more realistic.
So I feel the game as far as terrain goes, would be greatly improved if you were walking south in a Roofed forest looking for a planes biome, (Because you can normally find a plans biome next to a roofed forest, Hills, flower forset or regular forest), You Might instead reach a biome gite like the random generation in Alpha or Beta. Or even yet, if you reach a random number of biomes each seed has a different number of biomes each time a world is created.
And a certain Item spawns randomly with a low percent chance in any of the Ingame loot chests in structures in all dimensions. you can use all of these Items to be crafted into blocks that can be used to build a portal to a dimension which spawns in like random seed generation in Alpha or beta. This Dimension generation would be separate from the world seed, in other words, when you create a new world, there would be an option to "Generate Throwback terrain", under the spot for the main world seed and with this option enabled you could in theory set a seed for the "Throwback Biome".
