Import/Export world option for iOS and Android

Can we get an import/export world function for iOS and Android?

I mean, MCPE is alright for when I'm on the go, but once I'm at home I'd rather keep building on my PC.

Then, I can just export from my Win10 version back to my iPhone and carry on.

    yeah,please add import and export options on android and iOS,if there's an unaccidental uninstall,it would be helpful with saved it on cloud or saved it on your account,that would be great thing to have.

    I really dont know what the heck Mojang was thinking when they made the Minecraft World Application storage mode in that update! But why did they have to make it default?! I now have a world I need to export so that I can reinstall MCPE and I have no way to export it other than rooting my brand new Samsung Galaxy S8+ and voiding its warranty!

    I really hope this gets added! I save my worlds to External but I have a friend who just got mcpe and unfortunately saved a nice world to Application. Unfortunately there's no way currently to get said world out. There's already a export button for win10 to nicely export the files as a .mcworld. I hope this can be added

    I honestly don't understand why this isn't in the game to begin with. It's really dumb because you can manually export worlds from iOS and Android by accessing
    games\com.mojang\MinecraftWorlds\[random series of letters and numbers] and then zip up the contents of that folder and then change the extension to .mcworld. The Windows 10 version of Bedrock has this functionality and that's the same engine that the iOS and Android versions are running!

    I usually export a world and then upload it to a cloud service, download it on another device and import it.

    It's a 1-click provess on the Windows 10 version of Bedrock, but with phones I have to go into the world folder, make sure that the folder is the right world, zip the contents, change the file extension to .mcworld, then upload it.

     

    This feature being added to the iOS, Android, and even the console version of Minecraft Bedrock could easily enable people to quickly share their own worlds! Please make this a feature in Minecraft Bedrock version 1.12!

    It would be great to have import/export in Pocket Edition for the same reasons!

    Also, I'm still playing on Windows 10 Mobile (many thanks for the Team for still updating this version!). However, I fear that someday eventually the updates will stop on Windows 10 Mobile and than I will be stuck on that old phone with my saves/worlds, without any ways to transfer them to other devices.

    This would be so useful, especially if it was cross-platform! That way, I can keep backups of my projects, which would’ve been useful when my iPad locked up and needed to be completely reset, which meant I lost all my data.

    I agree, I have been trying to transport worlds from my Android phone to my iphone using different suggestions from websites, yet none of them work. I have noticed that this feedback was posted a year ago, but yet now people struggle with this issue.

    Considering that iOS 13 will allow you to save files to a non-app folder location, exporting to .mcworld so I can back it up to online storage -- or perhaps even email it -- would be VERY nice.

    I love this idea, I for one am having an issue just finding the world files, I've been told to look in the mojang folder but apparently my device has it hidden or something because I dont see anything in it. My last tablet broke and I was unable to get my world backed up and lost everything. I see another option for saving to SD but even when I changed that I couldn't even find the files in the folder. We really need the option to export to a specified location so we can export it where we know where it is. Example SD card base directory

    /sdcard/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds/ for anyone wondering. No root required nor has it ever been. Each folder within contains a world. Just check the thumbnails to know which is which.

    you can compress the world folder to a .zip file, then change it to a .mcworld file when you open the .mcworld file it should open minecraft and import. You can do the same with resource pack folders.

    the only problem is when you save your worlds internally (inside the application) instead of games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds. This is what I stupidly did.

    this is why i want mojang to put a share world button in the world menu so you can share worlds saved to application as .mcworlds. By the way to change where your worlds are saved go to settings>profile>file storage location. but doing this will mean all your old worlds will not show up. it is very hard to move worlds from application to external and if you find out how, please tell me. But the advantage of having them saved there is that if you delete minecraft gooogle still saves the application data like your worlds. if you wish to move worlds from external to application, just go to games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds find the world folder and change it to an mcworld file (find out how to do that in my post above) then go back into minecraft change your file storage location from external to application then import the .mcworld.

    by the way worlds saved in games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds are ned with random characters, to identify the world you want, go into a folder then find levelname.text open it and if it says your world name then use that world folder otherwise try another folder. if you rename the forlders it doesn't matter!

    I would like import/export on ALL versions of Minecraft, I want to be able to move my worlds from XBox One X to iPad Pro to my bedrock server etc…

    I really need this. I have a nearly year old world that I'm really attached to, and I would like to convert it into Java edition to see what would happen and how it would perform, but it's saved to application and I know nothing about Android and how to access the /data folder, so this would be extremely useful.

    This is an imperative feature. I'm now trapped in the beta version because all my worlds were saved to the application by default and I can't leave the beta without uninstalling and reinstalling, thus deleting all my worlds. It warns to back up your worlds, but never tells you that this is literally impossible to do if you leave it in the default mode of saving to the application instead of externally. Rooting my phone to access the files is not an option, since in order to do so safely, evidently I have to wipe my phone anyway. I'm in a recursive catch-22, and it's galling.

    A good and essential idea. On android 11 cannot import our worlds due a os permissions changes. Add it like in Windows 10 / 11.

    Yes.  Especially after the upgrade to Android 11, the folders under /sdcard/games... are no longer accessible.  And if you run Android in multi user mode, you can not even access them using "adb".

    This means that now even that "workaround" is not usable.

    There is currently absolutely no way to back up your worlds if you run Android 11 on a non rooted device.

    I swear I am dying without this mechanic I need my old worlds soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much because it just sucks when you transfer Minecraft because then you have to transport your worlds and it is SOOOO difficult without Export/Import. You need to you STRUCTURE BLOCKS! FOR an entire FREAKING WORLD!
