There are only 2 variants of sand available, red sand and sand. I think they should add all of the colors of sand, like: Yellow sand, Red sand, Blue sand, Gray sand, Black sand etc. These types of sand probably don't exist in the real world but this is minecraft! minecraft is fictional. Maybe to be even more fancy, maybe smelting the sand in a furnace gives you the same color of glass the sand was, for example: red sand gives red glass.
Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? What would they do? How would they look? Why do we need them?

We already have 16 colors of concrete powder, which has a sandy texture and falls very much like sand. I'm afraid this idea won't do.

The only new sand should, if at all, be magnetite (iron oxide), rust powder (red sand, which we have and should become iron oxide), and white sand which is, of course, normal sand!
