My idea: Neutral rideable mobs, were you can ride with a "spider eye on a stick". Right-clicking makes it attack one time, inflicting poison. It could be a little faster than a pig, and greater speed on sand. instead of jumping, it will climb obstacles.
During daytime, it will fled from the player, unless it have a spider eye or a "spider eye on a stick" in hand (like the cat behavior). During nighttime, it will attack the player unless it have a spider eye item in hand (Like the hoglin behavior).
Spawns around desert wells, waiting for a thirsty victim.

Maybe they could replace spiders in deserts, and be poisonous like cave spiders. Also it would be cool if they glowed in the dark with specific light sources, because some scorpions do that irl.

You get poison 5 if you get stung because real scorpions can be leathal so Minecraft one put you on one heart almost instantly

I think that Scorpions would be a small update for the desert! The scorpions should then attack you as soon as you get close and should have a very small hitbox. In desert wells, they should appear more often, so that wells also use something! Scorpions could, if you kill them, drop a scorpion sting, which then, combined with a sword, gives players poison! If you had the scorpion stinger just like that in your inventory, it could also poison the player who has it in inventory. Also a chestplate, which combined with the scorpion sting, makes you resistant to attacks with effects. The scorpion sting would then have to be very rare! You could also milk the scorpion, so that you get a bottle of scorpion poison! This could then be used to brew new potions.

It would be cool if you attacked it and it would defend itself and it would deal poison and damage

Maybe the meerkat could snip off the scorpion stingers and those could be used to brew healing potions

It could drop a stinger which could maybe make an enchantment for swords to poison enemies

It could also be as big as a spider and could poison you when hit like a weaker version of cave spiders is what i am thinking of

You’re right. It could double the sting, for the dagger that can sometimes poison or with the exoskeleton you can make an armor

You could possibly receive poison sacks once you kill the scorpion which you can put on arrows.

Could act similar to silverfish, but poisonous, infesting sandstone, or even spawning in open sandstone dungeons. Could even be added to dungeon rooms under desert temples.

For uses, could drop scorpion tail as a one-time poisoning weapon or a potion ingredient that adds nausea to poison effect. Or a new potion that temporarily removes hearts & (reverse) adds additional hearts to player.
