Every biome should have its own sky texture

For example:

Desert:


Jungle


Ice / Snow bioms

Swamp

 

The other biomes such as forest... and its variants can stay the same :)

i dont know where to post it here, if in graphics or biomes...

    In modded, the skybox gradually fades to the new sky when you walk into the new biome. I love this feature, it looks amazing and I really want it.

    I believe that Minecraft already does this but it’s so faint that it’s barely noticeable. Good idea though!

    This is a really good idea. If you watch the short videos for the 2018 Minecon Biome Chooser, the animations show really cool skys, and we need something like those: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGbYcN2Zs4I

    The desert gets a really hot background with blurriness, and the sun is brighter.

    Taiga gets a night sky with shooting stars (only for nighttime obviously)

    And the savanna gets a reddish orange background with a larger sun. (best one)

    I like the idea. But i do think the swamp biome should be a little more mist/fog like instead of a green sun like thing.

    This should be renamed to custom sky colors, as in these pictures the sky is changing it's color hue and not texture. Minecraft already has systems in place to change the hue of the sky anyway, (at least I believe so) so that would probably be a more accurate title.

    Love this idea! The new nether biome skies/fog have definitely created a president for this kind of biome variation, and I hope we see something like it implemented in the overworld too.

    The mega taiga biome could have small needles blowing in the wind.

    maybe only show the sky for the biome that your in, then change when entering a new biome?

    It whould give each biome singular variety maybe add a different type of sky box instead of changing the color like in terraria

    I love this! If it's toned down a bit more and blended with the "biome blend" option this will be a wonderful addition to Minecraft!
