Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I'd say make it so that Obsidian Arrows can't be magic tipped.

This would ensure that regular arrows are still needed, and it would eliminate the need to add an obsidian arrow for EVERY potion effect.

    Great idea though.

Yes! This is a good step to make minecraft:obsidian more like the reallife obsidian. Totally for it!

I just want obsidian arrows, period. Make obsidian chips on the anvil.

That’s a great idea and then we would get a new mob also!

Obsidian arrowheads were actually used in real life so this makes total sense

Why would you break it with an antler??

Could the antler - since it can break obsidian - break stone?? I'm voting

Obsidian arrows makes sense because obsidian is very sharp and was used in real combat. As a downside, they shatter upon landing, making them a single use item. This encourages players to have better aim and might be good for balancing. It's also more realistic, as obsidian in real life is quite easy to shatter.

Someone else said something about using just an anvil which I think would work significantly better and make it easier to accomplish. And also probably more realistic than an antler. This could also lead into why we might need a hammer, which when added in an anvil with obsidian would create the shards. Hammers could also be affective to make reinforcements on a tool, iron pickaxe with hammer in an anvil would create a reinforced iron pickaxe. Which could give it more durability.

And I also believe when using obsidian arrows, you should be able to use it more than once, 1 arrow can last 2-4 times and will be dropped when a mob is killed.

Love this idea and it’s exactly why I came on here, so I could post this idea.

Another great way to give the Fletching Table purpose in-game.
