Special Mining Sounds

The implementation of the previously-explained mining animation would allow for new sounds specifically made for breaking blocks with certain tools. Sure, it could have been implemented before, but the sounds would either be rapid and annoying, or odd and not on-time with the animation.

  • Sound Combinations:

    • Stone against wood, wood against stone [Thunk]
    • Metal against soil (this would be applied to any tool tier since it would sound the same anyway) [Shkrt]
    • Metal against stone, Stone against metal, Metal against metal [Clang]
    • Stone against stone [Thock]

  • Note: Diamond tools would just sound like stone except higher pitched. Cloth and plant blocks are too soft for there to be any necessary difference in breaking-sounds.
