This idea deserves serious attention, it would virtually eliminate the common mistake of placing a block wrongly because you're 1 pixel off.

if you don't have enough manpower, please let us make a pull request just like how vscode does.

but this game is literally unplayable without fine controls like the gyro.

one doesn't just use a fat stick to both turn around and headshot a baby zombie

Please! I will buy the game on the Switch when you do, because I think the game is unplayable otherwise.

Please tell us this is a planned feature... Gyro controls would help this game feel immensely smoother and up to date

This is needed, its so frustrating when I'm crouch building across lava or really high and I keep overshooting the small area to place the next block. I keep finding myself tilting the switch slightly to get that last bit of extra precision but nothing happens. It would be so much more natural to have that included since the Switch has the capability to do it.

Oh my gosh yes of course! It's perfect! especially with the switch's "strange" stick layout this would help SO MUCH. Also, I like the idea that the Seargent had about it having an independently moving cross like with the "split controls" toggle on touch, Then there could be three options, off, independent, and full motion controls.

I'd LOVE this is implemented. I use to play shooters with my Steam Controller and have tried Splatoon 2 and Breath Of The Wild before, and their gyro feature is AWESOME for those precise shots. Any Bedrock port that supports gyro controls (Nintendo Switch, Android and Windows 10 with compatible controllers like the Switch Pro or the Dualshock 4) should have it!

Maybe implement it with different options for when gyro is activated:

*Always enabled. ("Center view" option when pressing a stick.)

    * When holding a tool or weapon, like a sword or a pickaxe.

*Only when using a crossbow or bow.

    *Disabled.

I think having the option to have it -or not- should be there.

This should really be a thing. It just controls soo good with gyro and on Switch it's a standard feature. Every game has it. If a game doesn't have it it feels unnatural.
    So please add it !

yes! it'd be almost just like playing keyboard & mouse like how Splatoon 2 is! It would feel so good to be able to play a console in this way, and only the Switch can really do that

Yeah, why no Gyro in mobile version?

Please add this feature to Minecraft on mobile phones. Would be a lot easier to play!

It would also eliminate the problem of not being able to jump and moving the camera at the same time as the right controlstick and the A-Button both are pressed with the right thumb.

I'm really surprised this was never added! This could also help to make the game more accessible to a larger audience - this could even be applied to other platforms!

I personally find aiming with a bow sometimes very un-intuitive when trying to aim at a target that is more than 10 blocks away- I end up side strafing and missing more to counteract the imprecise aiming

Also on PS4 and Win 10 if you have a controller that supports it

Yes, this is probably the feature I want the most (besides general parity with Java edition) ever since I got accustomed to Splatoon's controls. Joystick controls will never be as precise as using a mouse, but gyro aiming is probably the closest we can get. If we won't need to rely on the right stick as much, we will finally be able to jump while looking around without needing to change the control scheme. Aiming a bow would become less stiff, and even just block breaking and mob attacking would be less cumbersome overall. This change would greatly make playing on a gamepad more close to playing on Windows 10 with a mouse, which would make things more fair.

I got a nintendo switch for my birthday this year. I was so excited! It wasn't the first time I played on one though. When I played splatoon 2 on my friend's switch, I felt very comfortable using the gyro to aim, especially because the joysticks were slightly broken!

I expected to find this feature once I started playing minecraft on my own nintendo switch. it was really hard to make quick shots at players in skywars and successfully hit them, of which I was able to do on the iPad!

The reason I bought Minecraft for the third time (java, ios, and nintendo switch) is to move on from that limited control set and improve on "my performance" when playing on the move.

About that, I find it much easier to win skywars, and I also noticed how people on more limited devices couldn't compete XD, but when I get to use the bow, oh boy, it's really hard to aim, and don't get me started on mineplex turf wars, I didn't even took a single minute before leaving!

Please add this in, Mojang. You should've hired playtesters to let them comment on how to improve the game on the Nintendo Switch edition specifically.
