Giraffes

Giraffes would be the tallest animal in the overworld at 4.5 blocks tall and babies at 2.5 blocks tall. They can be breed with leaves and spawn in the savanna. If killed they drop 2-4 pieces of leather.

    Giraffes are my favorite animal and this would be an amazing animal to add to Minecraft! I really hope Mojang adds it!

    I believe one use a giraffe could have would be an armor trim. As for getting it from a giraffe however, maybe the player needs to feed the giraffe acacia flowers?

    the girafes will complement the savanna biome very well. This mobs will lives on savanna. Will eat leaves.

    Hi folks, thanks for keeping this thread going! Here is my idea on a balanced way to add these beautiful creatures to the game:

    The adults would be 6 blocks tall, with the babies being the same hight as the player. Giraffes would roam around the different variants of savannas, occasionally stopping to munch on a nearby leaf block. This, however, would not destroy the leaf block. Instead, it would just drop one of the items in the loot table for that specific leaf block, making them great for tree farms. You can breed giraffes with acacia and jungle leaves when they are full (like other breedable mobs), and heal them with any type of leaf block or sapling. You can also feed them an apple to gain their trust for 3 minutes, allowing you to ride them for short amounts of time. This would double your vertical build reach, letting you finish your builds easier once you have found a giraffe.

    Wolves run away from them, and they will kick you once if you hurt them. They also have a few different spot patterns and hues that they randomly spawn with, making each giraffe relitively unique from each other.

    Adding giraffes would not only help players learn more about these amazing animals, but also add a fun mob that only spawns in the savanna, apart from the armadillo. They spawn in herds of 3-8, and, like most other mobs, can be named with a name tag. When killed, they drop nothing but a few pieces of leather, which could encourage players to let them live.

    I love this idea! Mojang please add this. Here is my suggestion. Giraffes should not be rideable, they should not be tamable, and they should not drop anything. Instead, when you are near a giraffe, it would grant a new effect for 8 minutes known as seed_dispersal. When you are standing over farmland, it will automatically plant wheat seeds from your inventory/hotbar.

    I think giraffes are awesome! Although they should be dropping leather and be exclusive to the Savannah biomes

    Giraffes should be able to give you new seeds like the sniffer. But unlike the sniffer, this plant is a new crop/new potion ingredient. Okapis should also be added but has the same mechanic
