    I agree with DirtWorm2. Also, what if you could use any target locator (I think that's what they're called) like clone someone else eg. /clone <playername> or clone a random person /clone @r (i think that's the one but you get my point) 🤪

    Personally I think it would be cool because you have an army of you that can help you but I think it would be better if it was only able to be done in A alien spaceship to clone yourself

    I think you could then make "NPC" with this sort of commands whitout doing it with... "strange" méthodes xD Cool idea just need to be more explained

    Minecraft has the feel of a fantasy game. This is more sci-fi and  thus would not fit in with the rest of the game.

    The purpose that I would use this for is to test commands that would take more then one person to test with. This would be use if you are a solo creator trying to create a multiplayer map without needing a alt account or your friends joining every 4 seconds.

    Clone should have other commands to customize the AI. Assign whether it's hostile or neutral or passive. Walking speed. Trade or barter. And so on. 

    With this command, you can add Herobrine, ease the creation of custom mobs, or enhance your statues. I love the idea!

    I think this very post may have been what gave Mojang the idea to add NPC mannequins to the game. However I'd like to express my ideas for the future of these NPCs

    Custom AI that allows the player to change the NPC to sneak, crawl, walk , or run . Also change it's health and strength, it's range , etc . Change it's behavior to make it aggressive, neutral, or friendly toward players. List of what it will and won't attack , mob list that way the player can determine what it will fight. Change the eye color and height , give it abilities related to mobs such as the ability to leap at targets, this could make for some great custom bosses.

    Do fun you could make it attack and switch between it and you so you could trick your friends or start building somewhere else an your nametag moves to the one you controlling
