Fruit bat & Pet bats

First I think they should have 2 types of bats (fruit bat and normal bat) you can tame the fruit bat by giving it any kind of fruit. You can tame the normal bat by giving it moths. You can get moths by having any kind of light source outside at night. They will fly around the light. Basically you just have to kill the moths and feed them to the bat. Bats would be useful for getting rid of bugs (bugs can bite) and when you sit your bats they will go and sleep on the nearest surface that it can get to.

    Wouldn't that mean Mojang would have to implement bugs based on your idea? I think it would make the game too hard.

    Bats definitely need an update for the 1.17 cave update.

    They need a useful drop at the very least for use in the new giant caverns. Either like a Caving/Mining item (Night Vision pearls, bat wings for echo/Xray Vision) , & always their meat for bat stew or a bat skewer.

    If they are made to be puts, players should be able to command them to take a torch from their hand & place it on the ceiling of the Caverns & follow the player around perch on your shoulder like parrots.

    I think it would be nice if the fruit bats would eat from glow berry vines, sort of like the foxes

    Interesting I think that the fruit bats should give you fruit as a sign of gratitude just like how cats will randomly give you items after sleeping

    This would go great with the desert biome update! Fruit bats are a must for plants in desert ecosystem so of course they should be added!

    I know I already commented but I think if they add bats they should also add bat houses! And have crops grow faster if they're in a certain area of a bat house!

    Minecraft needs to be peaceful, so no biting bugs! Zombies and all the other mobs are exceptions, just no biting bugs. I like the bat idea though.

    I love the idea of having a pet bat I have this bat in my basement and I call him Diego I’m so sad I can’t tame him yet

    There really needs to be an update to the bats. They've been around forever and still don't add anything to the game. I feel like we should've had this before the sniffer arguably.
